This is supposed to be a blog post, but it feels more like a journal. I decided to write, pushing past the fatigue and the brain fog, figuring the best way to regain a sense of focus is to focus my energy for even 5 minutes in a journal. What I have come to notice is that my thoughts can be quite scrambled in the morning. Overwhelmed with thoughts of things I should be working on, things I haven't completed, desires to advance and become better, family issues, work, love, play—basically everything I can possibly think of all jumbled into one space called the brain. It's a lot. Journaling helps me reflect, helps me become more aware of myself, helps me to express and become more in touch with what is happening on the inside. In some ways, I am becoming more conscious of my thoughts, and that is a great thing for someone whose thoughts tend to run wild. Consider this space as an outlet, kind of like music and art have become, but without being confined to the barriers of structure and form. I just write and see what happens next.
