Karen Jewels

Hello! My name is Karen Jewels,  and I am a creative visionary. I proudly introduce Neutron Starr, my art demonstrated on fabric and paper. Working with water, paints, and dyes brings me immense joy and allows me to explore my artistic passions as leisure.

With a diverse artistic background, I embody the essence of a multi-disciplinary artist/designer. Throughout my professional journey, I have ventured into various creative areas, including fashion design, graphic design, photography, videography, editing, music, theatre and film. These experiences have granted me a holistic understanding of the arts, entertainment, and fashion industries.

I am deeply passionate about all aspects of the creative, applied, fine, and business arts; being able to appreciate both its' intrinsic and instrumental value.

My educational background includes a Bachelor of Creative Arts from Yorkville University, a diploma in Fashion Design from George Brown College, and music studies at Humber College. I have also obtained certificates in International Fashion Business Development & Management (GBC) and Brand Management from the esteemed University of Toronto.

I am excited to bring my unique blend of creativity to every endeavour, continuously striving to make a lasting impact in the world of art and design.

P.S. - Lavender holds a special place in my heart as my favourite colour, symbolizing creativity, grace, and tranquillity.

Neutron Starr

Whenever I gaze up at the sky, I'm filled with awe and wonder at the sheer magnitude of God's creation. It's a paradoxical feeling, as I am humbled by the vastness of the universe while also recognizing how significant and interconnected everything around me truly is. When I contemplate the intricate design of all things, great and small, I can't help but feel a sense of marvel and gratitude for being 'fearfully and wonderfully made'

The neutron star is a celestial body that emerges from the aftermath of a supernova, akin to a phoenix rising from the ashes. Although it may appear small, it carries the weight of the sun itself, the neutron star reminds us of the power and importance of reinvention, of leaving behind what once was and embracing a new version of ourselves. As we go through the many phases of life and experience shifts, our core essence remains intact—even more potent than before.
